Freelance photographer, writer and college student, who makes the Dean's List and holds membership in many honor societies. She has been published for both her writing and photography in local newspapers and online for businesses. She has also been displayed in numerous art shows and upscale restaurants for her photography.
Artist Statement
Megan Stevens specializes in event photography and enjoys photographing landscapes, pets, fashion, food and people. Landscape photography allows her to photograph nature and visit interesting locations for great photographic discoveries. This passion for photograhic discoveries carries through her work. Her mediums are digital and textured photography. She has been a freelance reporter and photographer, while being published in three newspapers since she turned eighteen. She has worked in two art galleries, where she used her creativity to advertise for events and manage the galleries while the owners were away. She was a guest photographer for "A Starry, Starry Night" Benefit Concert and Broadway Composer, Kim Scharnberg's wedding and reception. She has photographed high school reunions, birthday celebrations and graduation parties. Recently, she was a photography and media intern for an online fashion boutique. She also has enjoyed working with a self-employed business woman, where she photographed antiques and jewelry and assisted with set up of interior displays of her antique booths. Currently, she is a freelance book reviewer for an independent publisher and a photographer for a local opera house. Additionally, she is interning for Sweet Equations, a creative bakery where she is able to photograph delicious desserts, create blog posts and produce social media content. Also, she has worked with Andy Mars, New York City Wedding Photographer and instructor, who she has taken lessons from.
